AIEMS (Italian Association of Systemic Epistemology and Methodology) is a non-profit scientific and cultural italian association, founded in 2008 with the aim to expand on and to spread the systemic approach to knowledge and to the professional pratices. In this sense, AIEMS intends to give special attention to the educational and sanitary contexts. Since the beginning AIEMS has been culturally very active, and it is now supported by a large group of Onorary Members known as scientists and researchers of national and international importance.

AIEMS’s activities

• Has built its website, that represents a telematic open space of consultation for people interested in systemic approach.

•  It publishes in its website the monographic volumes of the biannual telematic scientific journal named Riflessioni Sistemiche, that in 2015 has obtained the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN: 2281-3373), and that is currently an editorial reference point inside the network of the systemic italian scientists.

•  It publishes in its websites the telematics journal named Ecology of Health, and the collection of essays named Quaderni dell’AIEMS (ISSN: 2974-783X)

•  Has organized three National Congress dedicated to the themes of Uncertainty (2010), Interdisciplinarity (2011), and Cure&Care (2013).

•  In 2016 was founded the Ecology of Health Lab oratory, an interdisciplinary independent group of researchers working for a new approach to the theme of health.

•  It has been Scientific Partner and Promoter in organizing the Festival of Complexity, which is an italian cultural event involving most of the best systemic scientists and researchers of the national cultural landscape.

•  Administers two social network group on Facebook, whose members are respectively more than 1900 and 200, and which are two telematic contexts of conversation dedicated to investigate systems thinking. AIEMS also organizes every year a successful Summer study holiday.

•  In 2014 were born some AIEMS’s group in different Italian cities, whose cultural activities aim to promote the systemic approach.

•  It is Associated Member of E.U.S. (European Union for Systemics)
